Electricity for cable, digital airwaves, radio, internet, phones and all related devices including medical. What utilities supply is analogous to the taxes on the federal budget, healthy food for mind and body, oxygen for respiration, or even social or written media for insightful & thoughtful interactions.
Arguably the greatest discovery of the 20th century was the electron. Along with harnessing of fossil fuels of the 19th century. We are now accessing forward through hybrid vehicles, solar panels and such to a cleaner environment.  What's to become of the way we spend our time, with loss by garnishments, debts, taxes, pollutants in air, contaminants in water and crops. I feel in the 21st century, through sequencing the human genome, stem cells and other such advancements will combine with media to enhance our way of life. To include more current benefits that life has to offer in former areas mentioned. Not only to increase a lifespan left unfinished, yet to spend those years worthy of ancestors past.
