From my t.v. exploits of Dr. Oz and the Doctors plus general information. The best steps toward a healthy lifestyle are to have a routine of supplements of over the counter, such as a multivitamin, or prescriptions, strength training, stretching, maybe yoga, eating appropriately, for example eating breakfast to start the metabolism. Enjoying your day if your working or not, entertainment can be found all day long at certain times. With technology of mobile devices, game consoles movies, t.v. etc. outdoor activities, if only going for a walk now and then throughout the day, running errands. All these will create less stress and a more organized life. I like the "Shake Weight", the XBox 360, movies, reading and yoga stretches, for a daily routine, with my personal supplements for cardiovascular support and prescriptions. My review of the dynamic inertia of the shake weight 5 lbs compared to a 65 lbs weight sounds about right. It tones rather than builds slot of mass, however, one can really see results within a couple weeks in the upper body, I have personally noticed. At least 6 minutes per day, I do at least 7-10 minutes when I get the motivation. If you skip a day, live and let go, don't fret, it's not meant to create stress , but relieve it. I highly recommend picking one up along with a heavier kettleball or barbell to start with. These are simply a few suggestions from someone with slot of current time on their hands, and as they say, idle hands are the devils playground. I'm not using that saying in any pious manner, being tolerant of all religions, yet not practicing as of currently. A little about myself.
